What it covers

The Series 63 is built on the Uniform Securities Act: the regulation of broker-dealers, agents, investment advisers and their representatives; the registration of securities; and — most heavily — ethical practices and prohibited conduct. It's a focused state-law exam, not a products or analysis exam.

Where it fits

Most representatives pair the Series 63 with the SIE and either the Series 6 or Series 7. Deciding between the 63 and the 65? Compare them here, or try a free Series 63 practice test.
